Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

DutiesDiagnoses malfunctions and performs major and minor repairs and maintenance on juvenile fish transportation barges, heavy mobile engineering equipment, generator assemblies, compressors and other stationary and mobile equipment.Provides work direction to lower graded employees who are assisting.Perform metal fabrication, body or structural work requiring welding, soldering, and straightening of components.Performs preventive maintenance service and maintains equipment service records.Inspects barges and associated equipment frequently to identify possible equipment failure during transportation season.
