Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Consumer Loan Officer to work in our Rexburg branches. The position works 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with regular Saturdays. The expected pay is $21.97 per hour, DOE.

Job Description

• Interviews member loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition. Analyze the current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decisions to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels of authority.
• Builds and maintains strong member relationships through direct outreach using outbound phone calls, email, text messaging, and other communication methods.
• Provides personalized service by reviewing member accounts, identifying financial needs, recommending appropriate loan solutions.
• Will actively engage in needs-based selling.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of similar or related experience.
• High school or equivalent education.
• Must provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private work area with minimal noise.
