RN - PACU

PACU RN - Days - 3x12 Hour Shifts

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-hour shifts, Days (07:30 - 20:00).

We are seeking a skilled PACU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU setting, with additional experience in ICU highly preferred. This role involves providing postoperative care to a diverse patient demographic, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Responsibilities will include monitoring patient recovery, managing pain, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients post-anesthesia to ensure recovery is progressing appropriately.
• Administer medications and provide pain management as required.
• Conduct assessments and recognize signs of complications.
• Educate patients and families on care post-surgery.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of PACU experience required; 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland or compact state.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Strong clinical skills in the PACU environment.
• Ability to float within specialty as needed.
