Lead Proton Radiation Physicist - $20,000 Sign-On Bonus OSF Healthcare Cancer Institute is looking for an experienced radiation physicist to help lead their nationally recognized proton therapy team in Peoria, Illinois Proton experience is preferred but training is available for the right candidate Join a team of supportive physicists at OSF Healthcare, a destination for world-class cancer care, that offers a full scope radiation oncology program Take part in current FLASH therapy research and initiatives Practice with advanced technology rarely available outside major metro areas Access to clinical growth and professional development opportunities Program Highlights Varian ProBeam Proton Therapy and advanced imaging in a single location Gamma Knife Perfexion radiosurgery program High-dose-rate brachytherapy with integrated surgical suite Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators Comprehensive suite of QA tools, including SunCheck and IBA MyQA (proton QA) Required Qualifications Master’s degree in medical physics from a Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Program (CAMPEP) accredited program with completion of a two-year residency in medical physics. 3 years of experience as a clinical therapy physicist including experience with 3DCRT/IMRT/VMAT, SRS/SBRT/IGRT, routine machine Quality Assurance commissioning, and calibration of radiation therapy equipment. Certification in Therapeutic Radiology Physics or Radiation Physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics. Starting pay range is expected to start between $220,000 - $255,000. Actualy salary can fall outside of that range based on experience, skill and internal equity.
