About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to join its Executive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and medical leadership in line with the organization's vision of creating healthier futures for women and babies. This role involves overseeing the coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of medical staff to ensure the highest standards of practice and patient-centered care. The Chief Medical Officer will also be tasked with leading the execution of the research strategy, maintaining ethical and legal standards, and fostering relationships with universities and other relevant institutions. Applicants must have a medical degree, be registrable with AHPRA, and hold postgraduate qualifications in health management. Essential criteria include a strong record of leadership in professional standards and ethics, significant research achievements, and extensive senior management experience in large, complex healthcare organizations. The role requires the ability to develop and meet strategic, operational, and budgetary objectives, as well as a proven track record in leading medical staff to greater efficiency while improving quality. Desirable skills include fellowship with medical colleges, experience in women's and newborn health, and proficiency in healthcare information technology. The Chief Medical Officer will also be responsible for human resource management, including leadership, mentoring, and support for the medical workforce.
