These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are seeking a skilled Configuration Management Specialist to support our engineering, mission operations, and technical teams in Huntsville, Alabama—the Rocket City. In this hands-on role, you'll focus on the day-to-day management of configuration control processes across diverse technical teams that underpin mission-critical applications for NASA's ongoing operations on the International Space Station (ISS) and the Artemis program, which is ushering in a new era of lunar exploration and preparing for human missions to Mars.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and distribute agendas for various Program Change boardsSubmit agenda topics weekly and support admin tag-ups for schedule alignmentSolicit, collect, and post presentations to SharePoint with efficiency and collaborationIdentify CM-related topics through participation during multiple working group sessions on a daily basisServe as Secretariat: support meeting minutes and document coordinationPlan and execute configuration management tasks with engineering teamsMaintain technical baselines, configuration items, and CM documentationManage and continuously monitor multiple configuration management databases and required updatesFacilitate change requests through submission, review, approval, and implementationMaintain ECR reports, action logs, and monthly schedulesReview presentations for accuracy and security considerationsManage, route, and archive documentationUpdate and maintain data in Service Now and related repositoriesDeliver Level 3 change sets and support cross-team action itemsQualificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple parallel workflowsExperience in Configuration Management or Technical Documentation ControlFamiliarity with engineering lifecycle, CM processes, and technical baselinesExperience with SharePoint, ServiceNow, and technical documentation systemsEducation and Experience:Requires a high school education or equivalent, plus a minimum of six years concentrated experience in configuration management or a Bachelor of Science and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
