Medical Scribe

Position Overview The Scribe position is responsible for assisting the Urologist in accurately documenting and transcribing interactions between the patient and physician. The position works collaboratively with nursing and clerical staff to maintain efficient patient flow and performs other patient‑related tasks as assigned by the physician. Responsibilities Accompany physician into patient examination room to transcribe history and physical examination as dictated. Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests and imaging results, noting provider interpretation and order details. Document procedures performed and transcribe consultations or discussions with family and/or other physicians. Complete patient electronic record by transcribing results of labs, x‑rays, or other evaluations. List all proper diagnosis and follow‑up instructions, including prescriptions, as directed. Document any physician orders related to patient care and ensure follow‑through of pending items. Assist physician with any other duties related to patient care as instructed. Manage physician templates to ensure good patient flow. Support prostate cancer study data entry. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution or 0–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant/Scribe. Knowledge of computer/telephony support, preferably in a health care environment. Strong customer service background, preferably in health care. Excellent verbal communication skills. Competence with computer processing functions and standard office equipment. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills. Bilingual Spanish highly preferred. Location Cal Urology, 782 Medical Center Dr E Suite 311, Clovis, CA 93611 Compensation Anticipated hourly range: $23.00 per hour – $25.20 per hour.
