Operations Technician (I, II, or III) (Mechanic)

As an Operations Technician III, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment, and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record‑keeping, and a focus on safety will bring success in this role. Responsibilities Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations. Read and interpret drawings and documents related to equipment and operations. Inspect, supervise equipment, and maintain operational and technical standards as required by company or government regulations. Conduct data analysis and collaborate with others to resolve technical or operational problems. Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures. Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities. Maintain general knowledge of site, equipment, permits, and compliance. Complete assigned reports and logs, maintaining accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role. Preferred: Associate’s degree or 2‑year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry. Physical and Environment Requirements Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces. Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs; team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed. Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods. Work at elevated levels, potentially on man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers, with appropriate PPE. Use hand tools. Shift, Work Hours, and Travel Maintain residence within 60 minutes of the Willow Creek facility. Available for after‑hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as needed. May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays. Other Requirements Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PC skills, and advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and safety skills. Aptitude to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency. Compensation $28–$41–$45 per hour (minimum, midpoint, maximum). Benefits Strong pay plus annual incentive program.
