About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current acute care emergency department RN experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH, PALS, CPI (can be given 30 days grace) Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. 1-year minimum of current acute care emergency department RN experience BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH, and PALS certifications CPI Blue card Ability to work mid-shift/night shift Description: This role is for Rapid Response nurses. The unit has 11 beds staffed with 2 RNs 24/7, 1 medic 40 hours a week, 1 MD 24/7, 1 Radiology tech 24/7, and 1 security guard 24/7. Day shift consists of 2 RNs, mid-shift has 1 paramedic, and night shift has 2 RNs. Patient ratios are typically 1:4. Equipment includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include EKGs, IVs, and medication administration. Conscious sedation and wound care are also part of the job responsibilities. Candidates with emergency department charge RN experience are preferred. A positive attitude, flexibility, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
