Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Providence Village, TX 76227. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Location: Providence Village, TX 76227.
• Job Type: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion )
• Schedule: - Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
• Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Specific Duties:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document findings in the EMR.
• Record medical history, chief complaints, and update patient health information.
• Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and injections using proper aseptic techniques.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection; maintain specimen logs.
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and hospital pre-admissions.
• Process patient messages, medication refill requests, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and infection control standards.
• Monitor clinic logs, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, and sterilization records.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic protocols.
• Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 yr of exp working with a licensed physician or provider.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant or willing to obtain within 180 days.
• Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or the Military Training Network) at the time of hire or within 30 days of hire.
• Covid Card is needed.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
