The FP&A Manager serves as a critical bridge between financial planning, analytics, and operational execution. This role leads day-to-day FP&A activities while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management across the organization.

Beyond core FP&A responsibilities, the FP&A Manager is expected to build scalable, efficient planning and reporting processes and leverage modern analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance insight quality, speed, and decision-making. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decisions, improve cost discipline, increase profitability, and ensure alignment with overall business strategy.

The FP&A Manager is held to a higher standard than historical accuracy. They are expected to be right about the future. This means building forward-looking models grounded in business drivers, stress-testing assumptions before leadership sees them, and owning forecast accuracy as a performance metric. This role is not a reporting function. It is a predictive intelligence function.

Forecasts are directionally accurate. Variances between forecast and actuals are tracked, explained, and used to improve the next model, not buried.

Analysis is self-reviewed before it reaches leadership: numbers tie out, assumptions are documented, and no one has to send it back.

Budgeting and forecasting processes are organized, repeatable, and completed without fire drills, last-minute scrambles, or confusion.

Models, reports, and systems get simpler, faster, and more scalable over time through automation and standardization.

Taking ownership of high-impact initiatives, leading analysis end-to-end, and delivering outcomes that move the business forward

Acting as a trusted business partner to department leaders and senior leadership, helping them understand the financial impact of their decisions

Driving cost discipline, operational efficiency, and sustainable profitability

Drive financial management, planning, systems, and controls for assigned internal stakeholders

Managing multiple planning cycles (budget, forecast, ad-hoc analysis) while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Collaborate with Accounting as a strategic partner to assess the financial, operational, and reporting impacts of process improvements, organizational changes, and evolving business initiatives.

Build and maintain rolling 13-week cash and revenue forecasts, updated with actuals on close and refined with operational inputs weekly.

Own forecast accuracy KPIs. Track forecast vs. actual by business unit, identify systematic bias in models, and iterate assumptions accordingly.

Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses that give leadership real decision frameworks best case, base case, downside with quantified probability weighting where possible.

Conduct working sessions with key stakeholders to understand the operational application of structural or strategic changes

Conduct pre-submission self-review on all models and reports: verify formula integrity, source data reconciliation, and logic consistency before any output reaches a stakeholder.

Manage budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review processes for assigned Cardone Ventures departments

Develop and maintain financial models supporting short-term and long-range planning

Design and continuously improve FP&A workflows by leveraging automation, advanced reporting, and AI-enabled analytics to surface insights and drive faster, higher-quality decisions.

Collaborate with department leaders to define, track, and refine KPIs and financial metrics

Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members, fostering ownership and continuous improvement

Navigate NetSuite reporting, understanding data sources, structure, and downstream financial impact

Deep understanding of how the business actually makes money, what drives margins, unit economics, and the operational levers that impact financial outcomes.

Ability to connect revenue, profitability, and operational drivers to financial outcomes

Skill in turning large, messy data sets into clear insights identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes, not just reporting variances.

Working knowledge of the month-end close process and accounting impacts on financial reporting

Ability to develop complex financial models, budgets, and reporting packages

Strong analytical skills across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

Ability to develop three statement financial models with interconnected P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.

Understanding of departmental budgets and role-based cost structures, including incentive design

Ability to facilitate actionable dashboards and performance reporting for leadership

Understanding of cash versus accrual accounting and the implications of transitioning between the two

Proficiency in SQL or Python for data extraction, transformation, and statistical analysis, not dependent on someone else to pull data.

Experience building driver-based, scenario-layered financial models.

Ability to identify and quantify forecast error, diagnose root cause (bad assumptions vs. bad data vs. business shift), and correct the model, not just the number.

Statistical intuition: understands trend decomposition, seasonality adjustment, and correlation vs. causation in business data.

Comfortable with BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and building dashboards that answer "what's going to happen," not just "what happened."

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A with demonstrated ownership of a full planning cycle, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably in a consulting or high-growth environment in Finance/Corporate FP&A.

Experience with statistical or predictive modeling tools (Python, R, or equivalent) strongly preferred

Experience in multi-entity or high-growth environments where business models shift and models have to flex accordingly.
