ARDEX is immediately hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at our corporate headquarters located at 400 Ardex Park Drive, Center Township, PA 15001.

We are seeking an experienced  Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead and support our accounts payabl e functions in a highly team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, continuously improving processes, and building strong partnerships across the business.

What You will Do

• Lead the day-to-day accounts payable functions, ensuring vendor invoices are accurately reviewed, approved, and processed in a timely manner.
• Supervise, mentor, and support Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure AP processes and controls meet internal policies and external audit requirements, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.
• Manage weekly freight and parcel billing activities, analyzing data from multiple online platforms and reconciling associated credit card transactions.
• Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and vendors to quickly resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Oversee the preparation and execution of weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, while maintaining positive vendor relationships through effective communication.
• Support costing, pricing, and spend analysis initiatives by providing financial data, system documentation, and reporting insights that assist business decision-making.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports, and month-end closing activities.
• Serve as a key resource across the accounting team, providing backup support for vendor setup, AP correspondence, accounts receivable functions, and cash receipt posting as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support the continued growth of the organization.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 (two) accounts payable experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Understanding of general accounting functions.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or another integrated accounting system, purchase order & inventory forms, or system enhanced external database reports.
• Digital skills to utilize Word, Outlook, Microsoft 365 Suite, and expert skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to create spreadsheets and analyze data.
• Good communication, judgment, listening, analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships within the department and across multiple business functions.

Education  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, or minimum completed high school diploma with relevant work experience
