Position: Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Adult Psychiatry Division Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Department: Psychiatry – Adult Psychiatry Division Location: UF Main Campus, Gainesville, FL Job Number: 538003 Overview The University of Florida College of Medicine seeks a full‑time faculty psychiatrist for the Adult Psychiatry Division. This non‑tenure, multi‑mission faculty position involves clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity within the Department of Psychiatry. Key Responsibilities Clinical Services: Provide inpatient consult‑liaison psychiatry services at UF Shands Hospital, a 1,111‑bed Level 1 trauma center. Educational Resources: Conduct initial psychiatric consultations and follow‑up patient care. Outpatient Services: Opportunities to develop outpatient consult‑liaison and integrated psychiatric care in primary‑care settings. Supervise and teach medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows. Participate in curriculum development and clinical research or quality improvement projects. Engage in scholarly activity within an academic medical center. Qualifications Required: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry. Eligible for Florida Medical License. Preferred: Fellowship in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry. ABPN Board eligibility/certification in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry. Experience with vulnerable populations and academic medical settings. Compensation & Benefits Salary commensurate with education and experience.
