Job Title: Wound Care Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required License: Current and valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS Wound/Ostomy care preferred Must-Have: Experience in charge roles is preferred. Familiarity with trauma experience preferred. Wound care skills and ostomy care experience required. Description: We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse. The nurse will handle complex wound care cases. The role involves managing patients with varying wound conditions. Experience with patients post-surgery is essential. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of advanced wound care techniques. Ostomy care experience is desired. Daily responsibilities include assessment and management of wounds. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team will be expected. The nurse will provide patient education on wound care. Candidates must be able to manage multiple patients effectively. Strong communication skills are vital for this position. Familiarity with electronic medical records is preferred. Applicants must be willing to adapt to fluctuating patient volumes. This role requires a commitment to infection control protocols. Previous experience in high-volume settings is a plus. Caring for a diverse patient population is essential.
