Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department nurse position in a hospital setting with options for 36 or 48-hour shifts, primarily during night hours. The role involves providing specialized obstetric care, managing high-risk deliveries, assisting with procedures, and supporting neonatal and maternal health. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact license in hand at the time of submittal; Certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP; Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric specialty; Experience with Epic charting system required; Experience in LDRP settings preferred; Previous charge nurse experience preferred; Strong knowledge of high-risk obstetrics, neonatal resuscitation, and maternal care procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma obstetric unit; Additional certifications or training related to obstetrics and neonatal care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This position involves managing a daily census of approximately 14 patients, supporting interdisciplinary teams including respiratory and physical therapy, and performing a broad range of obstetric and neonatal procedures and assessments. Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing, with onsite modules during orientation.
