Interventional Radiologist - Locum Tenens

Locum Interventional Radiologist | Washington, DC / Maryland Region Winston Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for a 6-month locum tenens assignment in the Washington, DC / Maryland region. This is a full-time IR opportunity offering strong compensation, full travel coverage , and a combination of weekday procedural coverage and rotating call. Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Minimum of 10 shifts per month Weeknight and weekend call required Approximately 13 weeks of call coverage during the 6-month assignment Call weeks run Monday at 8:00 AM through the following Monday at 8:00 AM Providers will rotate between several nearby locations Clinical Responsibilities The Interventional Radiologist will provide a broad range of procedural and consultative services, including: Patient rounds and specialty consults Joint aspirations Lumbar punctures Dialysis graft procedures Renal, mesenteric, liver and aortic Doppler studies CTA of the upper and lower extremities CTA abdominal aorta and iliofemoral studies Venous insufficiency studies A small portion of the assignment, less than 10% , will involve remote interpretation of vascular and CTA studies. Outpatient setting: approximately 8–13 procedures per day Call Expectations After-hours call includes weekday evenings and rotating weekend coverage. Call-back volume is relatively limited, with onsite return reportedly occurring approximately once every three weeks during periods of call coverage. For urgent after-hours cases, the Interventional Radiologist must be available by phone within 15 minutes and able to report onsite within 60 minutes when an emergent procedure is clinically indicated.
