Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:\n\t• 4–7 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience\n\t• Experience working in a hybrid environment (on-prem + Azure + O365)\n\t• Strong hands-on experience configuring: \n\t\t• CrowdStrike and/or Microsoft Defender XDR\n\t\t• Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM configuration and tuning)\n\t\t• Rapid7 (scanning AND remediation)\n\t\t• Cisco firewalls / network security\n\t• Strong understanding of infrastructure including: \n\t\t• Active Directory (GPOs, identity security)\n\t\t• Windows servers and endpoint hardening\n\t\t• VMware or virtualized environments\n\t• Experience implementing security controls, not just monitoring tools\n\t• Healthcare or regulated environment experience (HIPAA preferred)

Job Description

Overview: Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer II to support the build and maturation of a hospital’s security program.\n\nThis is a true engineering role, not just a security operations position. The role will split time between day-to-day security operations and hands-on engineering, requiring someone who can both respond to incidents and directly implement security solutions within a hybrid environment that includes on-prem infrastructure, Azure, and Office 365.\n\nThis individual must be comfortable operating in a lean environment with a high level of ownership, working across infrastructure, cloud, and security tools to strengthen the overall security posture.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\t• Own daily security operations including alert monitoring, triage, and incident response\n\t• Perform vulnerability scanning and directly remediate identified risks\n\t• Configure, deploy, and optimize security tools including EDR/XDR, SIEM, and firewalls\n\t• Support HIPAA and NIST compliance efforts\n\t• Contribute to security improvements and modernization initiatives (Azure, O365)\n\t• Partner with vendors and contractors while maintaining technical ownership\n\t• Build dashboards, reporting, and basic automation where possible
