Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:


Provide rapid response nursing care in a high-acuity emergency department setting, ensuring timely interventions and patient safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and triage services under protocol.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency and trauma care according to established protocols and procedures.
• Triage and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and complex conditions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes utilizing Meditech system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain readiness to float only when needed, adhering to hospital policies.
• Ensure compliance with all certifications and unit-specific guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid KS RN license and active state registration.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency or trauma nursing within a Level 2 trauma center.
• Hold current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC; CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and triage procedures.
• Proficient in using Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitors, LifePak, Alaris pumps, and related equipment.
• Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor consistent with hospital standards.
