Job Summary The Junior Buyer supports the purchasing team in sourcing, ordering, and maintaining inventory, and plays a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet our customer’s needs. This position will report to the VP of Merchandising. Responsibilities Create and issue purchase orders based on inventory levels, forecasting, or sales trends Track order status, shipments, and delivery schedules Assist in resolving shipment errors, delays, or invoice discrepancies Support Senior Buyers in identifying cost‑saving or consolidation opportunities Establish and maintain record‑keeping system for merchandising department Monitor inventory reports to maintain appropriate levels Update purchasing and product information within the company’s system Communicate upcoming shortages, backorders, or discontinued items to relevant departments Perform other duties as assigned Desired Qualifications/Skills 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement within a distribution environment preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred Good understanding of purchasing processes and inventory management fundamentals Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and meet Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order tracking Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office; strong skills in Excel required Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally #J-18808-Ljbffr
