JIB Accountant

Work from home on Fridays at this growing oil and gas client! The corporate accounting and operations accounting team are looking for a 0-3 year person to come learn, grow, and be challenged. POSITION SUMMARY The JIB Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s joint interest billing accounting functions and ensures that expenditures are recorded within the framework of client policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable regulations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly JIB entries and allocation schedules Process owner corrections and handle inquiries/dispute resolution Perform monthly account reconciliations and financial analysis Prepare manual AR invoices Review, code, and process outside operated invoices Generate reports and ad hoc analysis Maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external operatiors Support daily and monthly departmental activities as needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 0-3 years of experience in the accounting/finance or oil and gas industry Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance High school diploma QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Eager to learn, self-motivated and detail-oriented Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Word Flexible with changing priorities Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team structure #J-18808-Ljbffr
