Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to residents in the LTC setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans; document progress with timely notes and updates.
- Conduct bedside and chart-based assessments; screen for dysphagia and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families; participate in care conferences and discharge planning as needed.
- Educate residents and families on therapy goals, strategies, and home exercise programs; promote continuity of care across settings.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in documentation.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for a travel assignment and adherence to assignment duration and schedule.
