Data Engineer

We are adding Data Engineers to influence the direction of data modernization for our customers. We are looking for engineers, senior engineers and leaders in data ecosystems, to join our growing Data Practice. This person will work closely with our customers to manage, transfer, manipulate, or integrate data to ensure exceptional performance for their business. Responsibilities and Qualifications Design and development of relational and non-relational databases, data warehouses and data lakes using databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle Development, monitoring, and maintenance of data integration and processing tools and pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Domo, dbt, or other related ETL tooling Strong knowledge and experience using SQL, DDL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and SQL query optimization Development utilizing languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C# Experience using messaging middleware such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ and IBM MQ or other related technologies Data analysis and visualization tools including tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, Business Objects or other related Analytics tools Familiarity with security and security policies Experience with Cloud based platforms such as AWS or Azure 5+ years of professional data development experience Experience delivering solutions in large scale enterprise environments Experience with Public Cloud Providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure Experience with various ETL tools Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot) to increase development velocity, improve code quality, and support complex problem-solving Bonus Qualifications Experience with Databricks is a bonus Experience with DBT is a bonus Prior consulting or professional services experience is a bonus Benefits and Culture SDG is proud to offer an array of benefits for our employees including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, short and long-term disability, life insurance options, a monthly technology reimbursement allowance, 401k, birth and non-birth parent leave, ESOP, trainings and certifications, and company-owned cabins. Fair and equitable compensation is important to us. The salary range for this opportunity is $120,000 - $140,000. The offer may fall outside this range given factors such as skills and experience.
