Job Title: Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer (Active Secret Security Clearance Required) Job Code: 40495 Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every Other Friday Off) Job Description: As a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space Defense portfolio within the Space & Mission Systems segment, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact on programs and projects that are critical to our customers! Essential Functions: * 2+ years' experience with SysML/MBSE * Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors * Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.) * Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience * Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details * Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems) * Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis. * Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings. * Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000. * Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP). * Experience with INCOSE and/or NASA Systems Engineering Handbook requirements writing guide. * Potential 10% travel required. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. * Active Secret security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills: * Experience with and knowledge of Space Domain Awareness mission and systems * Experience with MagicDraw MBSE tool * Experience with development and editing of MBSE diagrams, requirements, use-cases, and traceability to requirements * Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDraw * Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORs) experience * SysML/MBSE experience * Willingness to travel to remote location for up to a month per year In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
