Please note that you will be asked to complete the Job Insights Questionnaire as part of the application process.If you've completed this job fit questionnaire with another organization within the last year, you will not need to complete this again.The system will automatically recognize your prior results and let you know if no further action is needed.Thank you for your interest in our organization and we look forward to your application and learning more about your experience.Location: MHealth Clinics and Surgery Center, Minneapolis MNHours: 80 hours bi-weeklySchedule: day/evening, rotating weekendsProvide and promote exceptional customer service, assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies, enter new and refill prescriptions in the computer system, work with physician offices to obtain refill requests, handle cash register transactions, receive patient prescriptions, unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in proper order. ResponsibilitiesReceive prescriptions from patients and gather appropriate information per department policy. Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as assigned, including counting, pouring, and labeling prescriptions.Verify insurance and resolve issues in a manner that will serve the customer's needs. Address third party prescription questions, which may include prior authorizations, vacation supplies, dose changes, price check and drug utilization review.Process new and refill prescriptions in the computer system quickly and accurately; including entering refill authorization requests and entering and calculating complex prescriptions such as compounds and injectables.Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the computer system. Utilize the reporting system as necessary. Process manual prescriptions including EZ-DME, breast pumps and Worker's Compensation, in an efficient and accurate manner.Complete special orders to meet customers' needs.Respond to internal and external customer questions and concerns in a professional and customer-focused manner.Handle cash register transactions quickly and accurately.Perform administrative duties as assigned by the manager.Duties may include scheduling, maintaining pharmacy software and automation systems, bookkeeping activities, onsite training of staff and acting as a primary resource for problem solving.Perform under the direction of the Pharmacist to assist with identifying and resolving patient specific medication related issues in the patient's best interest.Provide training to new and current staff on areas of expertise including computer/software, insurance plans and problems that may occur, customer service, and other processes.Under the direction of the pharmacist, prepare drug therapy for patients in an accurate and timely fashion in accordance with all legal requirements, regulatory agencies, and Fairview Policy.Deliver medications, supplies and equipment to patient care areas and other clinical areas as appropriate.Assist in the maintenance of pharmacy to reflect a clean and well-stocked condition dailyEnsure each product has a POS shelf labelAssist in inventory control functionsRecord invoices in department inventory control/invoice recordsMaintain stock of inventory in assigned areasReceive, unpack, and check incoming stock against invoices and place into inventoryProcess recalls and returns when necessaryHelp in the maintenance of pharmacy billing recordsRequired QualificationsHigh School orGEDActive technician registration with the Minnesota Board of PharmacyPreferred QualificationsGraduate of an approved pharmacy technician programOne to three years retail and/or pharmacy experienceIf you'd like to complete this for your own interest, you may also do that at this link.Please note that you will be asked to complete the job fit questionnaire as part of the application process.Thank you for your interest in our organization and we look forward to your application and learning more about your experience.Fairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
