Make an immediate impact as a Registered Behavior Technician by supporting a middle school student in a one-on-one setting for the remainder of the school year. This full-time contract role offers the chance to provide meaningful behavioral support to a student with autism who is exhibiting challenging behaviors, including eloping and inappropriate touching, potentially linked to trauma. The ideal candidate brings experience and a trauma-informed approach to behavioral intervention, ensuring compassionate and effective support in a school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Previous experience working with middle or high school students with autism
- Demonstrated ability to implement trauma-informed care
- Skilled in addressing challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Strong communication skills for collaborative teamwork
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
- Provide one-on-one behavioral support to a middle school student in a school setting
- Implement and track individualized behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of school staff and Behavior Analysts
- Address behaviors such as eloping and inappropriate touching with proactive, trauma-informed interventions
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of progress
- Collaborate closely with special education staff and other support personnel
- Uphold a safe and positive learning environment for the student and their peers
