Overview Big Canyon Country Club is a private country club that fosters a culture focused on the growth and development of its team, while providing hospitality and experiences for its members and their families. Location: Headquarters - Newport Beach, CA 92660 Position: Cook | Type: Full Time | Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly Responsibilities Be self-motivated in making sure that all food products are fresh and well-cooked as requested. Accept responsibility to ensure the individual workstation is well equipped with the proper products to promote success every day. Establish and maintain a positive line of communication with your immediate Supervisor, Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and/or the Executive Chef regarding questions, product concerns or other situations you might have. Set up, maintain a clean and organized workstation; at the end of your shift leave the station clean and organized. Provide proper labeling and dating of products when stored. Maintain safety and security in the work area. Always adhere to local and state health and safety standards. Report any issues with faulty equipment or accidents to a supervisor immediately. Be prepared to perform other tasks or projects as assigned or requested by the Supervisor. Qualifications High School, Culinary School or Apprentice Program Graduate. Prior experience in a Private Club, Hotel, Resort or Restaurant working different stations. Ability to be on one’s feet for long periods of time. Ability to bend, reach, and stoop when necessary. Ability to lift but not exceed 40 lbs. Have good or very good knife skills and techniques. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Able to work non-traditional work shifts (hours), weekends and holidays. Be able to read and communicate in English; Spanish is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
