Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Ohio state license.

Job Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week,
• 13-week assignment,
• Weekend shifts required,
• Floating between campuses may be required,
• Works in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings,
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and alarm troubleshooting,
• Administers a wide range of respiratory medications via nebulizer, aerosol, and inhaler delivery systems,
• Performs airway management including intubation/extubation support, suctioning, and tracheostomy care,
• Utilizes high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy,

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio State RRT license required at time of submission (license required if applicable),
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist,
• BLS certification required,
• RRT certification required (CRT also acceptable, but not both),
• High school diploma or official transcripts required for compliance,
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,
• Skilled in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs),
• Experience with ventilator management, airway suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if necessary,
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted,
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility,
• Current employees are ineligible for traveler positions at this facility,
• Requested time off must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
