Purpose of Position: Provide facilities support to Humane Colorado properties and associated assets in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds maintenance and other miscellaneous facilities support. Responsibilities Complete daily work orders as assigned. Ensure safety and cleanliness of work environment. Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Medical Equipment, and environmental systems. Minor repairs to dog, cat, and small mammal kennels Care for grounds including snow removal, mowing grass, and maintenance of landscaping. Perform minor carpentry projects, painting, and repairing interior and exterior of buildings. Assist Humane Colorado staff with event set‑up, hanging signage, and moving equipment and furniture. Maintain all Humane Colorado equipment used for the grounds and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and safety for use. Monitor Receiving Garage and Restock Shelving Monitor and Restock Supply Closets Facilities Technicians will be on a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hour emergencies. Compensation: $22.50 - $24.65 per hour (starting pay commensurate with market, experience, and equity) Schedule: 40 hours/week, Four 10‑hour shifts, Sunday - Wednesday, some on‑call required Work Conditions and Physical Requirements Performs work primarily in a shelter environment and outdoor setting. Potentially prolonged periods of standing, movement, and repetitive motion. May work in an area with high noise level. Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches. Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs. with reasonable accommodation. May require after hours response for emergencies or snowstorms (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Work outside in extreme weather, both heat and cold. Exposure to chemicals and other general maintenance hazards. Posting will remain open until filled, with a minimum posting period of 5 days.
