Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations using diagnostic and prognostic tests to inform treatment plans effectively.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and promoting independence based on physician prescriptions and patient goals.
• Oversee and train Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment plans and high standards of care during patient appointments.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and apply physical modalities like traction and electrical stimulation to aid recovery.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting clinical records including evaluations, treatment updates, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Consult regularly with interdisciplinary teams, contributing valuable insights in case conferences to refine patient care strategies.
• Engage patients and their families, providing education on therapeutic practices and understanding rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in a rehabilitation environment.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with standing in good professional standing.
• Certification in CPR and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
