Registered Nurse - Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit

Schedule
- Ratios: 1:4-5 (days, nights, weekends)
- Weekends: Every other weekend

Assignment Details
- Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Average daily census: ~35

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience (1st-time travel nurses accepted)
- Telemetry/PCU experience and comfort with cardiac patients required
- Licensure: GA RN or Compact license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
- Charting system: Epic required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
- Provide pre/post procedure care for cardiac patients.
- Administer and manage IV therapies and medications, including cardiac/vasoactive drips.
- Perform assessments and interventions related to patient care in a telemetry setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Documentation deadline: All compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start.
- Orientation: Modules/non-billable hours factored into NBO; orientation hours may vary by specialty.
- Hard Stop: Candidate must verify ability to manage specific cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration.
