Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a significant impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher within a welcoming school environment near Andover, MN. Two contract opportunities are available for educators holding dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Special Education. These vital roles offer the chance to deliver instruction and resource support to both early childhood and K-5 learners.
Key requirements for these positions:
- Current Minnesota teaching license with both Early Childhood and Elementary Special Education certifications (dual certification required)
- Experience working with diverse learners in a school setting, especially early childhood and elementary ages
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom community
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing engaging, individualized special education services half-time to early childhood students and half-time to K-5 resource students
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date IEP documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents
- Monitoring student progress, adapting interventions, and regularly communicating growth and needs
- Participating in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development as required
These full-time assignments are onsite, running approximately from early September 2026 to early June 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Candidates will support either Forest View Elementary or Linwood Elementary, splitting their schedule between age groups for a varied and rewarding experience.
