Technician 1 Temperature Control Major Projects

What you’ll do: You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery. Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems. Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers. Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements. Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals. Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment. Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance You are: Home-based opportunity located in any US city with a major airport, with up to 75% travel Competitive pay with potential for overtime and/or weekends Pay Range $30.00-$44.00 an hour with a $2.50/hr. travel allowance, annual bonus program No premium cost medical plan option available Robust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on diesel, gas, compressed air, electrical, controls, oil free air compressors, HVAC, microgrid & storage and more Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available, safety-focused culture working on brand new technology Here's what you'll get: High school diploma/GED 4+ years' experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required. Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meter’s, amp meters, and Hygrometers Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs. Other essential job requirements Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
