Job Description:

Pediatric / MST is a mixed unit of adult and pediatric patients with varying patient ratios. This role requires the RN to care for both adult and pediatric patients and float to the MST unit when census on the pediatric/MST unit drops.

Responsibilities:

• Care for surgical and medical patients including hip and knee replacements, bowel resection, respiratory illnesses, and other listed conditions.
• Administer high flow to stabilize for transfer and care for stable adult patients needing bi-pap for chronic conditions.
• Float to MCU or MST unit and cross-train for mom-baby couplets.

Requirements:

• Must pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract.
• Experience working with children required; must care for adults as well.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Navy scrub color/dress code.
