Phlebotomy Supervisor

Overview The Supervisor of Phlebotomy is a hands‑on position for the day‑to‑day supervision and oversight of phlebotomy operations both inside and outside the main facility. The position will require on‑site work as needed due to daily staffing deficiencies. Responsibilities Manage daily operations and coverage within the medical center to ensure specimens are collected properly and timely. Cover various clinics outside the medical facility, confirm and train staff to register and verify insurance coverage before sending specimens to the central lab. Ensure all staff are trained in their areas to maintain continuous specimen flow to the satisfaction of medical staff inside and outside the facility. This involves periodic visits to physician practices to confirm their needs are met. Ensure all phlebotomy staff meet annual competency requirements based on accreditation and ARH policies, and keep annual competency files updated to meet ARH system guidelines. Qualifications Education – High School Diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy Certification – Required. Minimum Work Experience – 2+ years’ experience. Previous Supervisory Experience – Preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic computer capabilities. Communication skills.
