We recently acquired the Chevrolet/GMC dealership in  Thomasville, Alabama , and we are building a team that will help shape the future of this store.

We are looking for  Sales Consultants who enjoy working with people, are motivated to succeed, and want to build a long-term career with an established automotive organization.

Automotive sales experience is a plus, but it is  not required . If you have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take great care of customers, we want to talk with you.

About the Role

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will help customers find the right vehicle for their needs while providing an experience that is professional, helpful, and straightforward.

Our goal is not simply to sell a vehicle. We want to build relationships that bring customers back to Joe Bullard for years to come.

You will work with customers throughout the entire sales process — from the first conversation to vehicle selection, test drive, delivery, and follow-up after the sale.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers and learn about their vehicle needs, preferences, and budget
• Help customers select new Chevrolet and GMC vehicles as well as pre-owned vehicles
• Demonstrate vehicle features, technology, safety systems, and available options
• Conduct professional vehicle walk-arounds and test drives
• Maintain consistent communication with customers by phone, text, email, and in person
• Follow up with internet leads, phone inquiries, previous customers, and prospective buyers
• Assist customers through the purchasing process in a professional and transparent manner
• Work closely with Sales Managers and Finance Managers to provide a smooth customer experience
• Maintain strong knowledge of current inventory, incentives, programs, and vehicle features
• Follow up after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction and develop long-term relationships
• Ask for referrals and build a personal customer base
• Participate in ongoing sales and product training
• Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up activity in the dealership CRM
• Represent Joe Bullard Automotive professionally in the dealership and throughout the community

Experience

Automotive sales experience is not required.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work a retail automotive schedule
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Ability to successfully complete required dealership and manufacturer training

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive sales experience
• Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, or other General Motors product knowledge
• Previous CRM experience
• Proven track record in sales or customer service
• Experience developing repeat and referral business
