Associate Systems Engineer (Systems Architecting, Requirements & Interfaces)

Position Title Associate Systems Engineer (Systems Architecting, Requirements & Interfaces) Department & Program Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B). The role supports the Bombers Mission Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing organization. Location Oklahoma City, OK (100% onsite). Responsibilities Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Support the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolve cross‑functional technical issues. Lead and execute emergent and specialty projects in support of design, modification, and delivery, including readiness activities, flight test/mission assurance readiness reviews, technical design reviews, tabletop exercises, and resolving systemic issues involving heavy maintenance activities. Partner with the FAA Certification Team to ensure execution is aligned with programmatic schedule and strategies. Deploy and standardize On Time Delivery and Cost/Schedule Performance Tools across programs. Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement. 2+ years of related systems engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines. Self‑starter with strong written and oral communication skills and a focus on translating complex issues into simple, easy‑to‑understand concepts. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Experience in verification & validation of requirements. Experience in requirements management and tools (e.g., IBM DOORS). Experience in systems integration and test including lab integration, ground test, and flight test. Relocation Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Specific programs and options vary based on eligibility, location, date of hire, and collective bargaining agreements. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications. Pay range: Associate $85,000 – $115,000. Oklahoma Tax Credit: If you have an engineering degree from an ABET‑accredited college or university in Oklahoma and are not currently working in the aerospace sector in Oklahoma, you may qualify for a $5,000 tax credit from the state of Oklahoma for up to five years.
