To assist in implementation of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics instruction.Performance Responsibilities:Adheres to full implementation of program guidelines and procedures of the Extended Learning ProgramAssists in developing and implementing science activities for participating studentsWorks with individual students and groups of students as neededWorks with parents and staff in promoting understanding of extended day programParticipates in inservice training as requiredAssists in providing variety of activities related to physical fitness, fine arts, recreation, and prevention of unhealthful and inappropriate behaviorAssists in selection and maintenance of supplies, materials and equipmentDevelops lesson plans related to instructional topicsAssists with physical education activities as neededAssists in maintaining necessary records and filesMaintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about studentsModels personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountabilityPerforms other related duties as assignedSalary:$20.53 - $33.36 per hourEvaluation:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicableNew Probationary Employees and Permanent Employees Who Become Probationary Upon Reclassification:A new employee, or a permanent employee who is changed to a new classification, shall serve a probationary period, which shall not exceed six (6) months of duty time exclusive of leaves of absence or other absences. During this probationary period the employee must meet the required standards of performance to be recommended for permanent status in the classification. A probationary classified service employee may be terminated from the probationary classification at any time without cause, without right of appeal or hearing before the Board of Education.
