Certified Medical Assistant – Full-Time

Alexandria Internal Medicine of Northern VA, PC – Alexandria, VA

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative operations in a busy internal medicine practice.

Responsibilities

Room patients, take vitals, review medications, and assist with annual physicals
Explain treatment procedures and support patient care
Collect and prepare lab specimens; perform basic in‑office
Prepare lab requisitions and charts ahead of appointments
Administer vaccines, medications, and allergy shots; maintain immunization schedules
Perform EKGs for routine visits, pre‑ops, and physicals
Track incoming labs and follow up on outstanding orders
Answer phones, triage patient concerns, and process prescription refill requests
Schedule physicals, office visits, follow‑ups, and lab work
Assist with pre‑authorizations

Qualifications

Medical Assistant experience preferred
Strong phlebotomy skills
Strong communication and multitasking skills
EMR experience
CPR certification a plus

Schedule & Pay

Full‑time, Monday–Friday
Competitive pay based on experience
