Technical Project Architect

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Project Architect in Dallas, Texas. As an Architectural Professional, part of our Cities and Places team, you will be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary design team. You will have the opportunity to deliver outstanding program management, planning, design, and construction management services to our clients in Texas and across the globe.

Our Project Architect supports our design team and clients in preparing designs, completing construction documents, providing written building design decisions and presentation of materials. Some of the expected responsibilities would be:

  • Responsible for collaborating on design projects; brainstorm project design ideas, complete design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit and assist in reviewing project proposals, remaining a part of the process from conception through project close-out.

  • Assist in creating project proposals and completing construction paperwork for buildings.

  • Assisting with initial project research and outlining project schedules and tasks.

  • Communicate with involved parties; contractors - to monitor the progress of a project, discuss the material selections; clients - interviewing them for programming, noting their requests, answering their questions and sending them project updates; team members - inspiring the team to consider novel designs and the integration of systems.

  • Develop detailed plans and shop drawing using- Autodesk- AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture

  • 10-15 years of industry experience.

  • Professional Licensure as an Architecture Professional in the United States.

  • Working knowledge of model/rendering and design tools (including REVIT, AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM360, Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu).

  • Ability to develop and maintain architectural models with strict adherence to project-specific BIM execution plans, ensuring accurate integration with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) models.

  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills to work independently and lead a team of colleagues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to forge team and working relationships with Project Management, Sales Team and Clients.

  • Strong knowledge of building types, building envelope assemblies and respective code compliance for fire separations, egress, accessibility, sustainability.

  • Historical knowledge to act as a Quality Control reviewer of other teams and the ability to generate custom building details or specifications from standards.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Skills to act as a topic expert/project team leader/staff mentor.

  • Interest in: personal career advancement, adoption of emerging technologies, supporting office initiatives and community engagement.

  • NCARB certification to facilitate additional licensure.

  • Experience leading medium to large-sized teams.

  • Extensive experience with permitting, site observation, contract administration documentation, and project closeout communication.
