Surgery Scheduler

We are looking for a Surgery Scheduler to support our practice at KC Vascular and General Surgery - NKC, part of HCA Healthcare. Job Summary In this role, you will provide clerical and scheduling expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. Key Responsibilities Obtain CPT and ICD‑10 diagnosis codes and other clinical information from practice staff and facility coders. Prepare documentation for Non‑Covered Medicare Services notifications or Advance Beneficiary notices and maintain it per practice procedures. Determine O.R. time needed, coordinate with Facility to schedule procedures, manage anesthesia coverage, and ensure all requirements (medical/imaging records, equipment, instruments) are confirmed. Ensure scheduling packets are correct and timely. Obtain patient face sheets from Insurance Verification and secure necessary authorizations based on insurance types. Obtain authorization notes from Facility and upload scans into the medical record or practice management system. Qualifications High school diploma preferred. Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting (ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office) preferred. BLS certification may be required.
