Pharmacist Position SummaryTo actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of TidalHealth, in compliance with federal and state legal, regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. This includes: (1) involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or verification of physicians’ orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.): (2) defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes (primarily via decentralized processes in the patient care areas) under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee: (3) educational activities with pharmacist colleagues and other health care professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, etc.) to maintain and advance clinical competency vis-à-vis drug therapy; and, (4) “supervisory” functions while providing professional oversight of technicians drug preparation and distribution activities.Pharmacist Position RequirementsEducation B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacyCurrent pharmacist licensure in the state in which they will work and licensure in both Delaware and Maryland within 6 months of hire.Experience None required.PGY-1 Residency preferred.Work ScheduleThe pharmacy is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. May be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day and evening shifts, as staffing needs require.
