Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing services within various ICU settings, ensuring high-quality patient care for diverse patient populations, including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU patients awaiting bed placement. Candidates must have previous travel experience and ICU proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients across multiple ICU environments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Float between units, maintaining competency in diverse critical care settings.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Complete competency tests within 24 hours of assignment to validate clinical skills.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years' ICU experience.
• Demonstrate previous travel ICU experience, including float responsibilities.
• Possess Epic system proficiency and foundational critical care knowledge.
• Comfortable working in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and ED/PACU environments.
• Be able to pass a competency assessment within 24 hours of start.
• Wear navy blue scrubs as part of the dress code.
