Customer Sales Representative

At Spikes and Houles in Elk River we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and provide exceptional service for our customers! If you love working with people and are ready to take on a fun, fast-paced environment, we want YOU!


This position will offer 20-30 hours/week depending on time of year and will include opening, mid-day, evening, and weekend shifts throughout the year.


As a Customer Sales Representative, you'll be helping customers with their needs, whether it's selecting the perfect feed, offering expert advice, or assisting with our wide variety of lawn and garden products. You'll be at the heart of our store, ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience while:

• Greeting customers and providing personalized solutions.
• Assisting with product recommendations, warranties, and replacement parts.
• Keeping the store organized and stocked with seasonal items.
• Operating cash registers and managing payment transactions.
• Maintaining outdoor displays and helping customers with their purchases, including our carry-out service.
• Safely handling live chicks and other seasonal products.
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely unload trucks and pull customer orders.
• Contributing to the store's visual displays and keeping everything neat and tidy.

Essential Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to cross train on warehouse equipment.
• 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Open availability, including days, nights, and weekends (this is essential for the role!).
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks (bending, stooping, etc.).
• A love for customer service, with excellent communication and listening skills!
