Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of Oskaloosa Food Products’ facilities, equipment, and machinery by planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize unexpected downtime. This position also requires strong administrative capabilities, including reporting and budgeting. Overall, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Oskaloosa Food Products' facilities are properly maintained and equipped to support the company’s business operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance strategy: Developing and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy to improve productivity and reduce costs Maintenance procedures: Designing maintenance procedures and ensuring they are implemented Inspections: Performing inspections to identify problems and make repairs Scheduling: Scheduling maintenance tasks and responding to emergencies Staffing: Hiring, training, and managing maintenance staff, subcontractors, and other vendors Administration: Planning, organizing, and managing administrative procedures, such as tracking budgets and expenses Reporting: Preparing reports on safety inspections and production statistics Projects: Managing maintenance-related projects and evaluating progress on a regular basis Skills and Abilities: Communication & Active Listening – Communicate clearly through speaking and writing so others understand; give full attention to others, ask clarifying questions, and avoid interrupting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field 3+ years of experience in maintenance, with 1+ years in a supervisory/managerial role Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Working knowledge of air compressors, motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and production machinery required Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 regulations Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
