BOP Project Manager (Wind Sector) - Germany Location Germany (Office + Site-Based Travel Required) Company Overview Join a growing renewable energy organization delivering utility-scale onshore and offshore wind projects across Germany and Europe. Role Summary The BOP Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of all Balance of Plant (BOP) activities associated with wind farm projects. This includes management of civil, electrical, and grid infrastructure works from development through commissioning and handover. The role requires coordination with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with German and European standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management Lead the execution of BOP scope for wind energy projects in Germany. Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and resource planning. Coordinate civil, electrical, and grid connection activities. Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual obligations. Monitor contractor performance and oversee site progress. Engineering & Construction Oversight Supervise: Roads and crane pads Foundations Internal cabling Substations Grid connection infrastructure Review engineering deliverables and technical documentation. Coordinate interface management between turbine suppliers and BOP contractors. Stakeholder & Contractor Management Liaise with TSOs/DSOs, permitting authorities, landowners, and local municipalities. Manage EPC and subcontractor relationships. Lead project meetings and reporting with internal and external stakeholders. HSE & Quality Ensure adherence to German HSE regulations and company safety policies. Promote a strong safety culture across construction sites. Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and documented. Commercial & Contract Management Support procurement and tendering activities. Review contracts, change orders, and claims. Track project costs and support financial forecasting. Commissioning & Handover Coordinate testing and commissioning activities. Support grid compliance and energization processes. Ensure proper documentation and project close-out. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field. 5-10+ years of experience in renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing BOP scope for onshore and/or offshore wind projects. Strong knowledge of: Civil and electrical infrastructure HV/MV systems Grid connection processes in Germany German construction standards and permitting Required Skills Strong project management and leadership abilities Experience with EPC contract management Budget and schedule control expertise Risk management and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to work in multicultural and international environments Preferred Certifications Project Management Institute PMP Certification

PRINCE2
