Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd Shift

Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd Shift (10 pm - 7 am) New Bern, NC / Full-time Responsibilities Place the safety of team members at the top priority. Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with company policies, plant rules, and regulations. Actively involve associates in 5S activities; perform 5S process confirmations and LPCs. Supervise and coordinate maintenance personnel activities. Inspect maintenance work performed. Interpret and enforce company policy and practices. Maintain after‑hours and emergency on‑call coverage and service. Facilitate on‑the‑job employee training programs. Manage timekeeping and administrative issues concerning maintenance associates. Continuously improve utilization of maintenance personnel to reduce maintenance costs. Reduce lead time required to attend to maintenance calls from production groups. Prioritize maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and profitability. Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods. Plan and schedule major overhauls, refurbishments, etc., with maintenance planner, LPO, and reliability engineers. Identify future equipment repairs of significant value for financial planning. Support root‑cause analysis with LPO and reliability engineers. Facilitate effective use of the computerized maintenance management system. Assist in implementing capital, quality, productivity, and ratio projects with LPO and reliability engineers. Monitor compliance with OSHA and environmental guidelines and regulations. Ensure complete and accurate maintenance service records in SAP. Adhere to established standards and procedures. Implement process improvements to streamline maintenance activities. Support and supervise training of apprentices. Initiate spare parts purchases. Coordinate maintenance activities with outside companies or vendors. Analyze, discuss, and solve complex maintenance problems with subcontractors and suppliers to avoid supply shortages and factory shutdowns. Qualifications / Profile Two‑Year College (Technical Degree) – Required. Four‑Year College (Mechanical Engineering) – Preferred. 7‑10 Years of manufacturing environment experience – Required. 7‑10 Years of training in electronics, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and blueprint reading – Required. Demonstrated skills in welding, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic industrial controls, supervision, and team building. Proficiency with computers, measurement systems, machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $85K – $114K Incentive Plan: Annual Bonus – Target 5% Shift: Second Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, employee assistance program (EAP).
