As a forward deployed engineer, you will work directly with some of the most innovative companies in the world, helping them design, build, and deploy real-time AI systems using Soniox. You will embed deeply with customer teams, translate ambiguous requirements into concrete architectures, and deliver production-grade solutions that demonstrate the full power of Soniox technology.

This is not a typical "support" or "solutions" role — FDEs are engineers who ship. You will own implementation success end-to-end, help customers launch high-scale AI applications, and influence our product roadmap through direct exposure to cutting-edge use cases across industries.

In This Role, You Will:

• Embed with customer teams to design, architect, and implement solutions powered by Soniox's real-time streaming APIs and AI infrastructure.
• Own deployments end-to-end, from proof-of-concept to production rollout.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ranging from latency optimization and audio pipeline tuning to real-time event handling and API integration.
• Create reusable integration patterns, internal tooling, and best practices that scale across customers and use cases.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product by translating customer feedback into actionable improvements.
• Advise customers on architecture, scalability, model usage, real-time systems, and multilingual speech AI optimization.
• Drive technical onboarding, training, and enablement for engineering teams adopting Soniox.
• Prototype new capabilities and build demo applications that showcase the potential of Soniox's platform.
• Serve as a trusted technical partner, ensuring customers achieve high reliability, low latency, and maximum performance with Soniox.

You Might Thrive In This Role If You:

• Have 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in backend, real-time systems, infrastructure, or ML/AI integrations.
• Are excellent at quickly understanding unfamiliar architectures and diving deep into ambiguous problems.
• Have strong proficiency with Python, Node.js, or Go, and experience with APIs, streaming systems, or WebSockets.
• Are comfortable designing end-to-end systems that involve cloud infrastructure, audio pipelines, or real-time event processing.
• Communicate clearly with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Are excited to work directly with customers, build trust, and drive projects to completion.
• Have a bias toward action, ownership, and shipping.
• Can context-switch across multiple deployments without losing execution quality.
• Thrive in an environment where every project is different — different stack, different application, different constraints.
