Job Title : Flight Control Systems IPT Head
Location: Montreal, Canada
Salary Range: CAD $110K $140K/Year







Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Flight Control Systems IPT Head to lead FCS development and integration for advanced aircraft/eVTOL programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Flight Control Systems (FCS) IPT and own scope, schedule, cost, quality, and technical delivery.
• Define FCS architecture, including fly-by-wire/fly-by-light, actuation, sensors, and interfaces.
• Lead control law development, flight dynamics, stability & control analysis, gain scheduling, and redundancy management.
• Coordinate with Avionics, Software, Systems, Aerodynamics, Structures, Integration, and V&V teams.
• Lead MIL, SIL, HIL, Iron Bird, ground, and flight testing.
• Manage requirements, SRD, ICDs, simulation models, and certification deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
• Drive FHA, FMEA, FTA, fault-tolerant, fail-safe, and redundant FCS architectures.
• Support FAA/EASA certification, technical reviews, RFQs, proposals, and stakeholder management.
• Lead distributed onsite/offshore engineering teams and manage technical risks and dependencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Aerospace, Control Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience in flight control systems, aircraft systems, control laws, systems integration, and aerospace certification.
