Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer serves as an integral member of the healthcare and athletic team. They work closely with student-athletes, coaches, parents/guardians, physicians, and school administration. Daily availability is necessary to evaluate injuries and illnesses. They develop and monitor rehabilitation plans, coordinate referrals, and provide follow-up care. Maintaining appropriate medical documentation and assisting with safe return-to-participation decisions is essential. Adequate coverage across multiple sports, practices, competitions, and school-sponsored athletic activities is required. The role is critical to minimize gaps in medical coverage and ensure timely evaluation and treatment of student-athlete injuries. Dedicated full-time coverage is necessary to meet the needs of the student-athlete population.
