Job Description

Our client, a leading multi-specialty physician practice committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the Hudson Valley region, is hiring a Gastroenterologist . This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient gastrointestinal care within a collaborative, technologically advanced environment, supporting community health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
\n
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, polypectomy, biopsy, and hemostasis.
\n
• Manage chronic GI conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease, and oversee colorectal cancer screening.
\n
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results, imaging, and pathology reports.
\n
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
\n
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
\n
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
\n
• Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical meetings, and ongoing medical education.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
\n
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
\n
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
\n
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship.
\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
\n
• Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility.
\n
• Current DEA registration.
\n
• Proven commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
\n
• Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
\n
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.
\n
